Pupils urged to learn heritage

Monday November 5, 2018 was an important day for Amava Heritage Publishing Pty Ltd. On behalf of the company, its Director, Mr. Themba Ngada had an opportunity to take the company’s vision – learning, appreciating and embracing one’s heritage and culture; to learners in Khayelitsha. The event, at Khayelitsha Library, dwelt on the African heroes and heroines, among them Maqoma; who fought many battles against British colonisation in an effort to protect indigenous Heritage and Culture. Grade seven pupils from Soyisile Primary School and their teacher – Gugu Katsha, listened attentively and asked tough and interesting questions about Maqoma.
