About Amava Heritage Publishing

Amava Heritage Publishing (PTY) LTD operates in the cultural, traditional and royal authority sphere. It is all about reclaiming our heritage as black people by researching, packaging, debating and publishing our stories. Stories that tell of our economy, our justice system, our governance structures and our heroes. Stories that prove there was life before the colonial invasion, before we were forcibly turned slaves, before we lost our self-worth, before we were made second class citizens, forced to be employees of white masters, before we lost the land, before we were forced to sell our souls for a plate of food. We want our children to be able to use this knowledge to understand and form a context of why things are like this today and what to fix in order to create a better tomorrow.

To be the intellectual base of an Africa on a path of/to self-discovery and that interacts with the nations of the world from a position of strength.

To find available material and publish it for school and wide accessibility to the growing masses of African activists who work so hard to define themselves different from what they have always been told.

To piece together material that is locked in different places, audio, oral, written, and some of the material is still classified and protected by colonial laws that were repealed.

  • Truth first, no fear no favour
  • Accuracy of all information published
  • Efficiency of our services
  • Simplicity in dealing with all levels of social stratum within African communities
  • This goes hand in hand with humility and patience, an epitome of African Royal Authority
